Job Description
As a Carer, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to individuals in the community who require assistance with daily living. Your role will help promote independence, dignity, and well-being for those in need, supporting them to remain in a community setting. You will work as part of a dedicated team, ensuring that care plans are followed and clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support, ensuring clients’ comfort and dignity are maintained.
- Administer or assist with medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to care plans and monitoring for side effects or changes in health.
- Prepare nutritious meals, assisting with feeding as needed, and ensuring that dietary requirements are met in line with care plans.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing the home to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations and activities that promote emotional well-being and prevent social isolation.
- Monitor clients’ physical and mental health, noting any changes or concerns, and reporting them to senior carers or healthcare professionals.
- Provide assistance with transportation to medical appointments, social outings, or errands, ensuring clients’ independence and quality of life.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, reporting on the clients’ progress and any incidents, changes, or concerns.
- Adhere to all safeguarding protocols, company policies, and legal requirements to ensure clients’ safety and well-being.
Qualifications
- Certification in Care
- Previous experience in a care-related role
- Certificate in Food Handling
- Certificate in Basic Life Support.
