Job Description
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and light food items while delivering excellent customer service. The role contributes to creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the café.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other cold beverages in line with café standards.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Take customer orders accurately and handle payments (cash and card).
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area, including equipment and seating areas.
- Restock supplies such as coffee beans, milk, cups, and food items.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of light food items (e.g., sandwiches, pastries).
- Provide friendly, attentive, and prompt customer service at all times.
- Handle customer queries and resolve basic complaints professionally.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
- Support opening and closing procedures, including cashing up if required.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or in a café/hospitality role.
- Food Handling Course Category B.
- Good Communication in English language is a must.
