A Celebration of People, Not Milestones
Claire Bellizzi, Director at Uniplural Group, is representing the locality of Ħal Għaxaq in this year’s Mrs Malta competition. Rather than focusing solely on the competition itself, Claire has used the platform to support Hospice Malta.
As part of the initiative, Claire has been visiting every Żugraga childcare centre across Malta, from Fgura, Għaxaq, Żebbuġ, St Julian’s, Żejtun and Msida to the newest centre in Mqabba, hanging paper butterflies on the trees outside each one.
The butterfly was chosen as a symbol of hope and care, in keeping with the work Hospice Malta does supporting patients and families through life-limiting illness.
For the children, parents and educators at each centre, the butterflies mark a quiet reminder of the cause behind Claire’s campaign, and an invitation to support Hospice Malta.
Claire’s initiative reflects a value central to Uniplural Group: that caring for others, whether a child at a Żugraga centre or a family facing serious illness, is a shared responsibility.
