14 Years, One Family: Celebrating Uniplural Group at Our Summer Staff Party

Fourteen years ago, Uniplural Group began with a single conviction. Every member of our community deserves care and services that respect their privacy, dignity, and independence, in the comfort of their own environment.

What Fourteen Years Have Built

Caring and Growing Together

A Celebration of People, Not Milestones

Our summer staff party brought together colleagues from every corner of the Group. Carers and nurses, childcare educators, cleaning and support teams, hospitality staff, Academy tutors, and the office teams who keep it all moving. For one evening, the rotas, the shifts and the divisions fell away, and what remained was simply the Uniplural family.

There is something particular about this organisation that makes an anniversary difficult to celebrate in the usual way. Our work does not happen in one building. It happens in a client’s living room in Birkirkara at seven in the morning. It happens in a childcare centre at pick-up time. It happens on a night shift in a care home, in a spotless office at dawn, in a lecture room at Uniplural Academy, seated at a table in the heart of Żebbug’s piazza

Anniversaries invite reflection, and there is a great deal to reflect on. What began in healthcare has grown into something considerably broader: a Group that has consistently reshaped itself to meet the demands of the community it serves.

Five divisions, one standard of care. Uniplural Care, Uniplural Academy, Uniplural Services, Uniplural Hospitality, and Uniplural Childcare. Each one distinct in what it does. Each one held to the same promise.

A genuine one-stop-shop. Healthcare, childcare, commercial cleaning, hospitality and accredited educational programmes under a single roof. It is a rare breadth in the Maltese market, and one that allows us to meet a client’s needs wholly rather than partially.

300+ employees. Every one of them is the reason this Group exists in the form it does today.

Our tagline has never been an aspiration. It has a description.

Caring is what we do for the communities we serve. The growth together is what happens inside the organisation, through Uniplural Academy, through progression across divisions, through colleagues who joined as carers and now lead teams.

Fourteen years in, the ambition is unchanged: to become a leading provider of community services for a wide range of clients with diverse needs. What has changed is the number of people carrying that ambition forward, and last weekend, we got to celebrate every single one of them.

To our team: thank you. For the early starts, the late finishes, the difficult days handled with grace, and the standard you hold yourselves to when nobody is watching.

Here’s to the next chapter.
