Uniplural Group is currently seeking dependable and compassionate Carers who are able to work effectively within a team environment. Positions are available in Malta and Gozo within community and residential care settings, on a full-time or part-time basis.

Job Description

The Carer will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to individuals within the community who require assistance with daily living. The role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being, supporting individuals to remain within a community setting.

The Carer will work as part of a dedicated team, ensuring that care plans are followed and that clients’ physical, emotional, and social needs are appropriately met.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide support with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility while preserving clients’ dignity and comfort.

  • Assist with or administer prescribed medication, ensuring it is taken according to care plans and monitoring for any side effects.

  • Prepare healthy meals and support clients with feeding when necessary, following individual dietary requirements.

  • Carry out light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a safe and comfortable living space.

  • Offer companionship through conversation and activities that support emotional well-being and reduce loneliness.

  • Observe and monitor clients’ physical and mental health, reporting any concerns or changes to senior staff or healthcare professionals.

  • Support clients with transportation to medical appointments, errands, or social activities to maintain independence.

  • Keep accurate and up-to-date care records, documenting progress, incidents, and important observations.

  • Follow safeguarding procedures, company policies, and legal standards to ensure clients’ safety and well-being.

Qualifications

Certification in Care, demonstrating knowledge of essential caregiving practices and standards.

Previous experience in a care-related role, supporting individuals with daily activities and promoting their well-being.

Certificate in Food Handling, ensuring safe food preparation and hygiene practices when assisting with meals.

Certificate in Basic Life Support, trained to respond to emergency situations and provide immediate first aid if required.
